Gabriel Arthur wrote:
"You're lucky you're so easy to forgive," Gabriel laughed, winking water out of his eyes as the couple stood in the large, slow-moving pool.  He reached up, swooping the long, heavy strands of wet hair out of her face and hooking them behind her ears.  Of course, he made damn sure to touch along those sensitive little points.  Before she could say much about it, however, he brought his lips to hers, tasting the warmth of her tongue as he cupped her face in his hand.  His other hand wandered downward, trailing his thumb along her chest.  "Are you shivering?  Do you need to come closer?"

Archangel didn't really need an excuse to press herself closer against Gabriel, but having him stroke her ears was the best excuse there was. A quiet sound of pleasure escaped her lips despite trying to hold to back. Damn her weakness! It always gave Gabriel an advantage over her whenever they got in to these battles. Of course, it didn't help that he always seemed to know exactly what to do with his hands to make her melt.

Well, two could play at that game, or at least try for as long as she could keep hold of her higher reasoning powers.

"Hmm, it is a little cold, but I think I know how to solve that," she purred, playing with the wet hair at the nape of his neck as she trailed nipping kisses the length of his throat.

If there was one thing that Archangel was certainly good at, it was getting the heat to rise in him. Gabriel let out a quiet little moan as she kissed along his neck, his hands seeming to try to be everywhere at once. "Certainly is working," he murmured, hoisting her up in his arms.

The walk out of the pool was a little precarious, but he managed. Not for the first time on this trip was Gabriel grateful that he'd been working on his upper-body strength. Their clothing, discarded and forgotten, lay upon the tall grass like a blanket, and it was onto it that he settled her, his hand moving closer along her inner-thigh as his kisses became hungrier and hungrier.

As soon as they left the water, she felt the droplets still on her skin start to cool and chill her skin, but she didn't care. What hunger and passion Gabriel displayed, Archangel returned eagerly, but also carefully. Humans could be quite fragile, or at least so she thought. Hurting Gabriel was something that she was desperate to avoid.

She paused, grinning up at him. "How many times today will this make?" she asked playfully, her hands roaming over his skin, stroking, scratching and teasing in the way that she had been learning throughout the time they had been together.

[Later...again...]

Now, Gabriel Arthur was well and truly exhausted. He wasn't sure if they'd matched or beaten their daily record from their honeymoon, but it was probably close enough. The couple lay in the soft grass, the summer wind passing gently over their skin, touching the evaporating sweat, making him glad for Archangel's closeness. He had to admit...being here, outside...it was quite exciting, even if they were practically in the middle of nowhere.

"You know," he said, playing with her hair, "the Klingons say that anything important is done where the naked stars bear witness." He glanced up at the points of twinkling light. "I think they'd be proud of us."

With her eyes half closed, Archangel was quite happy to slip into a doze, cuddled up to Gabriel's side as they lay on the grass. She shivered slightly as the breeze cooled the sweat glowing on her skin, shifting even closer to her husband. A contented smile spread over her face as she felt his fingers winding through her hair before looking up at him as he spoke.

She let out a slight chuckle at the thought of a Klingon being proud of their activities. "Hm... I think in order for a Klingon to be truly proud of us, we would have had to break a few bones," she said lightly. "But yes, we spend so much time amongst the stars that it's strange to be down here, looking up at them for a change, as well as somewhat exciting to know that we've done it both amongst and now under the stars as well."

We didn't break anything? Speak for yourself, Gabriel amusedly thought. Although there were no broken bones, he was pretty sure they'd come close at a few points. It wasn't anything that couldn't be walked off, however, and he wasn't about to bring it up. Gabriel was sure that Archangel was self-conscious enough about...well, just about everything in her life.

"And don't forget the Jefferies tube," he grinned, referring to an incident when they were both Engineering officers. It had been a slow Beta shift, that night. "We should probably get some kind of logistics award for that one." The breeze made him shiver a little. Gabriel figured that, if he was starting to get chilled, then she definitely was, since his wife seemed to be more sensitive to temp variations. Reaching over, he found a shirt. "I think this might be mine. Oh, wait, these are pants. I guess we're laying on the rest of them."

The cool night air was certainly having an effect on the young Romulan as it rapidly started to chill her skin. Reluctantly, she untangled herself from the embrace, pushing herself to her knees so that she could find her dress and pull it back on. The thin material didn't do much for warming her up, but it was at least a start and it also meant that should any curious Romulans wander over, she was decent.

After helping Gabriel to locate his clothing as well, she took his hands, smiling gently. "I think after all that, we should probably go to bed," she offered, the smile growing a little as she added: "To sleep. As much as other activities are enjoyable, we haven't mastered the art of doing without sleep altogether."
